Job Summary

The Bezirk Mittelfranken is seeking an Instructor for the Electrical Engineering/Electronics vocational field at their Vocational Training Center (BBW HSL) in Nuremberg. This role involves training young people with special needs, specifically in the 'Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems' and 'Electrician for Device Technology' specializations. You will guide participants through their vocational preparation and work trials, provide instruction for all years of apprenticeship, and coordinate practical work experiences. The position requires a certified master craftsman or technician in electrical engineering/electronics, significant professional experience in the electronics field, and ideally, experience training young people. A strong pedagogical approach, empathy, and willingness to learn sign language are crucial. This is a part-time position (75%) with the option for full-time, offering a secure public sector job with a comprehensive benefits package.

Required Skills

Education

Certified Master Craftsman (Industrial or Craft) in Electrical Engineering/Electronics OR Technician in Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Instructor Qualification (AdA-Schein), Reha-pedagogical Additional Qualification (ReZA) or willingness to acquire it

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the electronics field
  • Professional experience in training young people is an advantage
  • Experience working with individuals with hearing, speech, or learning disabilities is an advantage
  • Experience with coordinating work trials and company collaborations for internships is an advantage
