Job Summary

This role involves coordinating activities and providing expert advice within the Foreigners' Office, focusing on matters related to Ukraine and the EU. The Specialist will handle complex cases, advise colleagues, and contribute to policy documents. Key responsibilities include making decisions on legal remedies, administrative disputes, and detention measures for foreigners. The position also entails processing applications for residence permits, managing measures to end stays, and combating illegal residence and expulsions. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Public Administration or Law (with a first state examination), or an equivalent vocational training. Strong knowledge of administrative and procedural law, ideally with expertise in immigration law, is beneficial. Excellent communication, negotiation, and intercultural skills are essential. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until December 31, 2026, with the potential for permanent employment thereafter.

Education

Completed university degree in Public Administration or Law with first state examination, OR successful completion of a vocational training course (Beschäftigtenlehrgang II).
