Job Summary

Join Roche's Site Management team in Mannheim/Penzberg as an Environmental Compliance Officer, focusing on Water Protection and Contaminated Sites. In this role, you will be a key specialist within the Environmental Safety team, ensuring compliance with complex environmental regulations like WHG and AwSV. Your day-to-day will involve reviewing safety concepts, auditing environmental and safety provisions for water and soil protection, conducting root cause analyses for environmental incidents, and acting as a primary consultant to operational units and authorities. You will translate intricate regulations into practical guidelines, minimize risks through expert consultation, and support emergency response. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape environmental compliance in a leading pharmaceutical company, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to balance sustainability and efficiency.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Safety and Environmental Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Professional experience in environmental compliance and regulatory affairs.
  • Experience in conducting risk analyses.
  • Experience in auditing environmental and safety provisions.
  • Experience in incident investigation and reporting.
