Job Summary
Hitachi Rail is seeking an experienced Signaling and Interlocking Systems Acceptance Tester to join their team in Ditzingen, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for the testing and acceptance of new and modified signaling systems, including developing test protocols, creating documentation, and conducting on-site technical acceptance before commissioning. You will collaborate with clients, support offer creation, and ensure comprehensive testing of ESTW (ESTW L90, DSTW) or ETCS projects in lab and field environments. This position requires detailed defect listing, customer liaison, and final release of systems for operation. The role offers a hybrid work model and the opportunity to contribute to sustainable mobility solutions.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Information Technology (preferably with a focus on Signaling and Interlocking Technology), or a comparable qualification. Potential for recognition or certification by the German Federal Railway Authority (Eisenbahnbundesamt) through provided tutelage, or existing certification.
Experience
- Completed studies in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Information Technology, preferably with a focus on Signaling and Interlocking Technology, or a comparable education.
- Experience in railway operations and relevant railway and operational service regulations.
- Profound technical knowledge of Signaling and Interlocking systems and products.
- Familiarity with administrative regulations of the responsible approval authority.

Additional
- Possession of, or eligibility for, certification by the German Federal Railway Authority (Eisenbahnbundesamt).
