Job Summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Planning Engineer Software for their Stuttgart location, focusing on the sustainable mobility transformation within the rail sector. In this role, you will adapt internal signaling and control products (ESTW/DSTW and ETCS) to meet specific customer requirements, particularly for Deutsche Bahn. Your day-to-day tasks will involve projecting software applications using proprietary software based on customer needs (PT1 plan), creating software data for target systems (PT2 plan), and generating assembly instructions. You will also be responsible for quality assurance, conducting functional tests, and serving as the technical point of contact for clients, planners, and inspectors. The position requires a degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent technician/railway operator qualification. Strong German language skills are essential, with good English being a plus.
