Job Summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Security Engineer specializing in Product Security to join their team in Ditzingen, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the IT security of software solutions within the rail sector, focusing on the C900 legacy system. You will integrate security requirements according to IEC 62443 throughout the product lifecycle, analyze risks and threats, identify vulnerabilities, and design, implement, and evaluate security mechanisms like authentication and encryption. This position offers the opportunity to work on critical safety products, train internal teams, and contribute to sustainable mobility transformation. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree or equivalent education, practical experience in cyber security, knowledge of Linux and scripting, and familiarity with ISO/IEC 62443 or similar standards.
