Job Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your data analysis and data science skills for public interest within the State Audit Office of North Rhine-Westphalia. You will play a key part in building data infrastructure, advancing data-driven auditing methods, and analyzing complex datasets. Your day-to-day will involve structuring data, developing reusable analysis scripts, creating data visualizations, and implementing AI-supported methods. You will also advise leadership on new technologies and tools. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree in a relevant quantitative field, experience in data modeling, analysis, and visualization, strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or R, and the ability to analyze and communicate complex information effectively. Experience in project management and text analysis is desirable.

Education
Master's degree with at least a 'good' grade in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a social or economic science degree with an empirical-quantitative orientation.
Experience
- Professional experience in data modeling, analysis, and preparation
- Experience in data visualization
- Experience with current data architectures and AI platforms
- Experience in project management (desirable)
- Experience with text analysis, processing of unstructured data (e.g., NLP), or machine learning (desirable)
- Knowledge of public budget and financial systems (desirable)

Readiness to work in a civil servant capacity with promotion opportunities up to salary group A 15, or as a salaried employee (Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L), with potential future transfer to civil servant status.
