Job Summary

This role is for a Senior Electrical Safety Specialist focusing on Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) within offshore wind farms. You will be responsible for ensuring electrical safety, overseeing installations, and guiding colleagues in German wind farms. Key duties include preparing risk assessments, supporting the training and supervision of electrical personnel and contractors, developing maintenance plans, coordinating multiple employers, delivering electrical safety training, and implementing safety rules. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, strong expertise in electrical safety standards and regulations, technical leadership, and high-voltage switching experience. Fluency in English and German (B2 level or higher) is required, along with IT proficiency. The position involves office work in Norddeich and significant offshore travel (20-40%).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical safety, including standards, laws, and regulations
  • Technical leadership competence
  • Switching experience in high-voltage environments above 20 kV
  • Experience with IT systems, including Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Ideally, qualification for live working
  • Ideally, experience with wind turbines
  • Ideally, prior responsibility as an electrician
  • Experience fulfilling the requirements of a responsible electrician (vEFK) according to VDE 1000-10
