Job Summary
Join the Landesamt für Geoinformation und Landesvermessung Niedersachsen (LGLN) as a WebGIS Expert in Hannover. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing WebGIS applications and geodatabases on the LGLN platform, as well as preparing geodata for the Lower Saxony State Office for Monument Preservation. Your tasks will include managing user rights, troubleshooting, collaborating with partners, and conceptualizing new geodata services. You will also analyze and model geodata, contribute to optimizing existing services, and conceptualize new digital services for administration and research. This position involves working on digital transformation projects, exploring innovative GIS solutions, and staying updated on trends in geoinformation systems, data analysis, and cloud technologies. The role requires a Master's degree or university diploma in Geoinformatics, Landscape, or Geosciences, with several years of experience in geodata management, GIS, and spatial analysis. Proficiency in Python, QGIS, ArcGIS, and R is essential, along with strong digital literacy and excellent communication skills. Education

Experience
- Several years of experience in geodata management and GIS
- Several years of experience with process-based analysis of remote sensing data and spatial analysis of land use classes
- Several years of experience in scientific work, data analysis, and modeling
- Professional experience in developing innovative GIS solutions
- Experience in collaborating with scientific institutions, state offices, and municipalities
