Job Summary
The GKDZ is seeking an Information Security Officer to join their team in Leipzig. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for establishing, operating, and advancing the Information Security Management System (ISMS) according to BSI IT-Grundschutz. This includes creating and updating security policies, managing security processes, conducting risk analyses, advising leadership on security matters, and initiating awareness training. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a vocational IT qualification with at least five years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of BSI IT-Grundschutz, risk management, and experience with ISMS implementation are essential. Excellent communication, a structured work approach, and assertiveness are also required.

Education
Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science, Communication Technology, Mathematics, or a comparable field, OR completed vocational training with an IT focus.
Experience
- Successful completion of a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science, Communication Technology, Mathematics, or a comparable field, OR
- Completed vocational training with an IT focus and at least five years of professional experience in the target field.
- Professional experience in building or operating an ISMS, ideally in a public sector environment.
- Familiarity with relevant legal regulations.
