Job Summary
Lead the development of molecular diagnostic products within a regulated diagnostic environment, transforming innovative concepts into clinically applicable solutions. You will be responsible for planning, steering, and realizing development projects from concept to product portfolio integration. This involves evaluating scientific findings, external data, and clinical performance data for diagnostic relevance and regulatory compliance. You will also oversee performance evaluation of diagnostic products and contribute to QM-relevant processes and IVDR compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in molecular diagnostics, a scientific or medical background (ideally with a PhD), and experience in developing or validating molecular diagnostic methods, preferably in a diagnostic lab or industrial product development setting. Experience in leading or coordinating small teams is advantageous.
Required Skills
Education
Completed natural science or medical degree, ideally with a PhD.
Experience
- Experience in the development, validation, or responsible application of molecular diagnostic methods, ideally in a diagnostic laboratory or industrial product development.
- Experience in the scientific evaluation of literature and clinical performance data regarding diagnostic relevance, robustness, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in performance evaluation of diagnostic methods and familiarity with quality-relevant documentation, including SOPs, ideally in a regulated diagnostic environment.
- Experience in technical leadership or coordination of small teams is advantageous.
