Job Summary

The Health Data Competence Center at Tirol Kliniken is seeking a Data Scientist to bridge the gap between medicine, management, IT, and research. In this role, you will integrate and analyze medical routine data, develop data-driven models, evaluations, dashboards, and applications. You will also support study and registry projects, contributing to the advancement of clinical data infrastructures and the medical data warehouse. The ideal candidate possesses a strong academic background in a relevant field, coupled with solid knowledge in data management, analysis, statistics, and visualization. Experience with databases, SQL, and potentially ETL processes, along with familiarity with clinical data and healthcare standards, is highly beneficial. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with complex healthcare data to drive insights and support critical research and operational initiatives.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Informatics, Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in data management, data analysis, statistics, and data visualization
  • Experience with databases and SQL
  • Experience with ETL processes, data models, datamarts, or data warehouse architectures (advantageous)
  • Experience with programming languages/tools such as R, Python, or STATA (advantageous)
  • Experience with visualization tools, particularly Qlik Sense
  • Experience with clinical data, medical information systems, or registries (advantageous)
  • Experience with scientific working, study planning and execution, and data management for research or registry projects (advantageous)
