Job Summary

This role is for an expert in technical building equipment, focusing on central control units, video surveillance, and access control systems for over 400 police properties in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, project management, implementation, and acceptance of police-specific technical installations. This involves working in interdisciplinary project teams, developing technical standards, managing budget planning, and advising police authorities on construction and renovation projects. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Media Technology, Information Technology, Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, (Technical) Informatics, or a comparable field; OR completed vocational training with a state-certified technician or master's degree in the above fields; OR vocational training in the above fields.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, project management, realization, and acceptance of police-specific technical building equipment
  • Professional experience in interdisciplinary project teams
  • Professional experience in developing technical specifications and standards
  • Professional experience in budget planning and financial requests
  • Professional experience in advising on construction and renovation projects
  • Professional experience in developing new concepts and piloting new special police technology
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience if holding a state-certified technician or master's degree
  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience if holding a vocational training qualification
