The City of Ulm is seeking a Head of Budget / Team Lead for Controlling and Finance at the Jobcenter Ulm. This full-time, permanent role involves managing financial planning, budget execution, and reporting for the Jobcenter. Key responsibilities include personnel controlling, leading the integration services team, ensuring timely settlement of income and expenses, and advising the municipal sponsor on budget matters. The ideal candidate will have a degree in public administration or business administration, strong knowledge of controlling, public budgeting principles, and basic project management skills. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Public Administration (FH) or Bachelor of Arts (Public Management, Business Administration), or equivalent educational qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in controlling and public budgeting

Languages
Additional
- Knowledge of programs and procedures as well as legal basis in SGB II is advantageous. Knowledge in procurement law is advantageous. Willingness to adapt to new social and societal changes and adjustments in organizational and administrative processes. Ability to cooperate with partners outside the Jobcenter. Must be willing to undergo background checks if required for the role (implied by public sector role in Germany).
