Job Summary
The Rendsburg-Eckernförde district is seeking an Environmental Protection and Landscape Planning Engineer for their Environmental Department. This full-time, permanent position involves reviewing species protection reports, enforcing environmental regulations, and providing expert opinions on construction and landscape planning projects. You will manage interventions in nature and landscape, including construction projects and protected areas, and investigate violations. The role also includes establishing and managing eco-accounts and contributing to Natura 2000 management plans. The ideal candidate holds a relevant university degree and possesses knowledge of administrative and nature conservation law, as well as construction planning. A driver's license class B is required, along with strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.

Education
Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in Landscape Planning, Landscape Management, Landscape Architecture, Land Management and Environmental Protection, Environmental Sciences, Biology, Agricultural Sciences with a focus on Environment, Nature Conservation, or Landscape Ecology, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in environmental protection and landscape planning
- Experience with species protection reports and assessments
- Experience in public planning procedures (e.g., construction zoning, plan approval)
- Experience in managing interventions in nature and landscape
- Experience in establishing and managing eco-accounts
