Job Summary
This role is for a Department Controller and Deputy Department Manager within the Central Services of the Marketing + Communication department for the City of Dortmund. You will be responsible for planning, managing, and controlling budgets and business operations, including cost accounting and internal control systems. A key part of the role involves preparing documents for political committees and handling inquiries, as well as representing the Department Manager. The position requires strong administrative and financial management skills, particularly in municipal finance, cost accounting, and procurement. Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is essential. This is an attractive opportunity to contribute to strengthening the city's profile and image on a regional and international level within a diverse and forward-thinking municipal administration.
Required Skills
Education
Completion of the 'IHK' Certified Accountant course is desirable. The Certified Accountant course from the Studieninstitut is also recognized. Applicants should be civil servants of the career group 2, official group of the 1st entry level of the non-technical service, or have successfully completed the administrative training course II. Applicants who are exempt from examination requirements and have acquired comparable knowledge through their professional career are also welcome.

- The position is rated according to BesGr. A 12 LBesO NRW or EG 11 TVöD-V. The role can potentially be performed in part-time. Flexible working hours can be arranged.
