Job Summary
This role involves implementing safety projects according to ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508 throughout the entire safety lifecycle. You will conduct software safety analyses, including SW-FMEA, FTA, and DFA, to identify software error patterns and failure modes. The position requires analyzing software architectures for safety mechanisms and diagnostic concepts, and deriving software safety requirements, ensuring traceability to system and hardware requirements. You will collaborate closely with software, hardware, and architecture teams, as well as customers, to safely implement functions. The role also includes performing hazard and risk analyses (HARA), deriving ASIL requirements, and supporting verification, validation, and confirmation activities. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in conducting software safety analyses according to ISO 26262 and IEC 61508
- Profound understanding of software architectures, data flows, communication protocols, software design, and typical software failure mechanisms
- Experience with requirements management
- Experience collaborating with software development and test teams
- Experience using safety tools such as Ansys Medini, Polarion, DOORS, PTC Integrity, or APIS IQ-FMEA
- Basic understanding of hardware safety is beneficial but not mandatory
- Experience with safe coding guidelines like MISRA or AUTOSAR C++ is advantageous
