Job Summary
Join BAUER KOMPRESSOREN as a Project Manager/Senior Engineer specializing in Automation and Control Engineering for high-pressure compressors. You will be responsible for the overall development of machine control systems using PLCs or embedded electronics, including the design and implementation of motor controls and industrial communication architectures (Modbus, Ethernet, CANopen, Profibus). This role involves conceptualizing and implementing cloud/IoT connectivity, cybersecurity, and functional safety measures. You will collaborate with development, testing, and construction teams, and contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection. The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Mechatronics, with several years of experience in industrial machine control development and strong knowledge of relevant safety and industrial standards.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or comparable field.
Experience
- Several years of experience in the development of industrial machine control systems
- Professional experience in system responsibility and technical depth
- Experience in the design and implementation of motor controls (star/delta, frequency converters up to 300 kW)
- Experience in defining and implementing industrial communication architectures
- Experience in conceptualizing and implementing cloud and IoT connections
- Experience with cybersecurity and functional safety implementation
Languages
Additional
- Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines including EN 60204-1, EN ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61508, IEC 62443 (Industrial Cybersecurity), Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, EMC and Low Voltage Directives.
