Join AGROLAB GROUP, a leading European laboratory analytics company, as a Biology Laboratory Assistant specializing in water microbiology in Potsdam. You will be responsible for daily preparation and analysis of hygiene and water samples (groundwater and drinking water), including testing for specific microorganisms like Legionella and E. coli. Your role involves performing sample preparation, conducting analyses using various microbiological methods (membrane filtration, plating, MPN), preparing nutrient media, and performing performance tests according to ISO 11133. You will also ensure quality assurance according to ISO 17025, assist in creating work instructions, and manage general lab tasks such as waste disposal and material procurement. Required Skills
Education
Completed scientific vocational training (e.g., Biology Laboratory Assistant, Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA)) or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Completed scientific vocational training (e.g., Biology Laboratory Assistant, Biological Technical Assistant, Medical Technical Assistant) or comparable qualification
- Ideally, practical experience in microbiological techniques (membrane filtration, plating, spreader, drop, enrichment, titer, MTP, and MPN methods)
- Expertise in indicator germs and pathogens in water analysis (E. coli, coliforms, enterobacteria, enterococci, salmonella, legionella, clostridia)
- Good computer skills
