Job Summary

Join the German Center for Air and Space Research (DLR) as an Electrical Engineer in Cologne-Porz. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of high and low voltage systems (6.0 kV to 110 kV) and critical UPS systems, including performing switching operations. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and fault analysis using a ticket system, as well as developing, calculating, and expanding low-voltage systems. The position also requires coordinating and accepting service provider performance, managing tests (e.g., DGUV Regulation 3), and maintaining technical documentation using CAD. Required Skills

Education

Completed Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering OR further qualification as a Master/Technician in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the planning, commissioning, and maintenance of high and low voltage systems, ideally in an industrial or research environment.
  • Professional experience in project planning, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining high and low voltage systems (6.0 kV to 110 kV).
  • Experience with critical UPS systems.
  • Experience with switching operations in medium and high voltage networks.
  • Experience with relevant norms and regulations (e.g., DIN VDE, DGUV V3 / BGV A3, BetrSichV, Product Liability Act).
