Job Summary

The University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD), a leading medical center in North Rhine-Westphalia, is seeking a Head of Clinical Applications for its IT department. This role involves leading a team of 15-20 IT professionals responsible for the introduction, operation, and further development of clinical IT systems. You will manage user requirements in collaboration with medical staff, optimize processes, ensure smooth operations, and oversee project implementation, including risk analysis for medical software. The position requires a scientific degree (Master/Dipl.-Ing.) in Medical Informatics or a comparable field, or a FH degree (Bachelor/Dipl.-Ing. FH) with relevant experience, or a completed IT apprenticeship with extensive experience. Strong leadership, experience with healthcare IT systems (preferably CGM Medico), software development knowledge, and understanding of hospital software interfaces are essential. Good German (B2) and English language skills are required.

FH), or completed training as an IT specialist with relevant professional experience or equivalent skills and experience.
