Job Summary

This role involves supporting the chemical and hydraulic engineering laboratories at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. You will be responsible for maintaining the functionality of equipment and analytical instruments, managing chemical supplies, and overseeing various instrumental and apparatus-based analysis methods. A key part of the job includes preparing and conducting chemistry practical sessions for students across different study programs, including group assignments, scheduling, and guiding students through experiments. You will also assist in lectures, support students with thesis work (method development, data interpretation), and contribute to public outreach events by setting up and running experiments. The ideal candidate is a qualified chemical laboratory assistant or holds a comparable qualification with knowledge of chemical/physical methods, analytical work, and ideally hazardous materials handling. Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis is required, alongside a conscientious, structured, and independent work style, good teamwork, communication skills, and a willingness to learn and engage with students.
