Job Summary

Brunel is seeking a Development Engineer for Hardware Verification to join challenging projects in the Defence sector. In this role, you will be responsible for creating verification specifications for hardware circuits, planning and executing functional tests, and technically supporting environmental and EMC tests. You will also analyze, evaluate, and document test results, and specify, commission, and set up modular test systems, including HIL systems like dSpace or National Instruments. The position involves developing automation scripts and simulation models for peripheral components. The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a technician qualification with relevant experience, and possesses practical experience in hardware development or verification, along with knowledge of functional safety standards and environmental/EMV requirements.

Required Skills

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable field; alternatively, a technician qualification with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hardware development or hardware verification
  • Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262)
  • Experience with relevant norms and guidelines, especially in environmental and EMC requirements
