Job Summary
Join the Hessian Police Headquarters Einsatz as a Technician or IT Specialist in Frankfurt am Main. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for the operational technology and IT systems of the department, including planning, development, administration, and modification of devices and systems. You will also train personnel, support procurement processes for IT and operational equipment, and provide technical preparation and support for police operations. The position requires a university degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical/scientific field, or a completed vocational training as an IT System Electronics Technician, Information Electronics Technician, or IT Specialist. Strong practical skills, excellent communication, and good German language proficiency (B2 level) are essential. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Diploma (FH) or Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable (information) technical/scientific field; OR Completed vocational training as an IT System Electronics Technician, Information Electronics Technician, IT Specialist, or State-certified Technician in an IT-related field; OR Proven equivalent skills and experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system administration or operational technology.
- Experience with current operating systems (Windows, Linux, Android, iOS).
- Experience with networks and servers.
- Experience in programming web-based applications and scripting languages.
- Experience with CAD and 2D/3D construction, preferably with software like Fusion 360.
- Experience in prototype construction, particularly using 3D printing.
- Experience in communications technology, network technology, radio technology, antenna technology, and data transmission.
- Proven practical skills in setting up, adapting, and installing technical systems.
- Experience in planning, development, conception, and administration of IT and operational technology.
- Experience in market observation, testing, and optimization of technical equipment.
- Experience in preparing procurement measures.
- Experience in conducting training events.
- Experience in project work and working groups.
