We are seeking an AI Engineer to architect and build the central platform for the productive deployment of AI within the church sector in Germany. You will develop secure, scalable, and value-oriented applications from powerful models, focusing on technological excellence, data protection, and societal responsibility. This role bridges infrastructure, application, and governance, ensuring AI delivers real-world value. You'll integrate, test, and validate new AI models, conceptualize RAG architectures, and develop interfaces for AI workflows. Key responsibilities include implementing security mechanisms, ensuring compliance, and optimizing performance. The ideal candidate has practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and Python, along with knowledge of Linux, container technologies, and identity management. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in building and operating AI applications, particularly with LLMs and prompt engineering
- Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases
- Experience with Python, Linux, and container technologies (Docker, ideally Kubernetes)
- Experience integrating tools and interfaces into AI systems
- Experience with AI gateway solutions or comparable systems
- Experience in regulated environments
- Experience with Identity and Access Management concepts
