Job Summary
The City of Döbeln is seeking a Preventative Fire Protection Officer to join their public order office. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting fire safety inspections of properties, facilities, and event venues, as well as reviewing building plans and fire protection concepts. You will also provide opinions on construction applications, assess fire protection measures, and coordinate with authorities regarding fire alarm systems and water supply for firefighting. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks related to fire technology and assist with the procurement and maintenance of fire equipment. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary based on public service pay scales and attractive benefits.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an administrative specialist or a completed skilled trade/technical vocational training; desirable is the career qualification of career group 1, entry level 2, specialization fire department or a corresponding training.
Experience
- Completed vocational training as an administrative specialist or a skilled trade/technical apprenticeship
- Experience with relevant legislation such as the Saxon Fire and Disaster Management Act, Saxon Building Code, and Saxon Fire Service Ordinance
- Active membership in a fire brigade
- Professional experience in fire protection and/or building fire protection is desirable

- Willingness to attend an 11-month training course for conducting fire prevention inspections at the State Fire Brigade School. Flexibility, independent and self-responsible work style, structured thinking and working, confident demeanor, communication skills, ability to handle criticism, teamwork, and willingness for continuous training. Driver's license Class B required.
