Test Engineer Software Development | Testingenieur Softwareentwicklung (m/w/d)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Test Engineer for Software Development to ensure the quality of PLC programs throughout all project phases, from development and testing to commissioning. You will be responsible for defining and continuously improving quality standards, test strategies, and test processes for automation software. This role involves planning, executing, and evaluating software tests, including module, integration, and system tests, in close coordination with development, commissioning, project management, and external partners. You will analyze defects, derive corrective actions, and document test results and quality metrics for reporting. The ideal candidate possesses a technical degree or equivalent qualification, several years of experience in quality assurance or testing of automation software/PLC systems, and familiarity with PLC programming (e.g., Beckhoff, Siemens, IEC 61131-3). Experience with test methods, concepts, and automated testing in an industrial environment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively represent quality topics to stakeholders.
