Job Summary

Join Brunel as a Hardware Development Engineer, focusing on the fossil fuel extraction industry. You will be responsible for analyzing existing products, systems, and processes, measuring and testing electronic circuits, and supporting PCBA manufacturing with a focus on cost reduction and quality. This role involves developing analog and digital hardware, creating test setups, qualifying components, and collaborating with external suppliers and internal departments. You'll also handle documentation and occasional travel to extraction sites. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, with several years of hardware development experience, preferably in energy or conveying technology. Familiarity with automation technology, control electronics, CAD, and specific challenges in fossil fuel extraction is required.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Several years of experience in hardware development
  • Experience preferably in energy or conveying technology
  • Experience with CAD programs and schematic creation
