The University of Stuttgart is seeking a Head of Administration Department to lead the commercial and administrative operations within its Computer Science faculty. This role is crucial for managing budget, accounting, controlling, personnel, and third-party funding for national and international research projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in restructuring the faculty's administration into a new central unit, overseeing financial reporting, and serving as the primary administrative contact for funding bodies. Required Skills
Education
University degree (M.A. / Dipl. univ.), preferably in Business Administration or comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of experience in administrative processing and project controlling of scientific projects at universities and/or research institutions
- Experience in administration within research institutions (desirable)
- Experience in administratively supporting research proposals for federal, state, or EU funding (desirable)
- Experience in leading teams (desirable)
Languages
Additional
- Knowledge of public service regulations, including budget and collective bargaining law (desirable)
