Job Summary
The University of Erfurt is seeking a Head of IT to lead its University Computing and Media Centre (URMZ). This role involves developing and implementing IT strategies, overseeing all operational IT areas, and managing business processes. You will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of the IT team, ensuring a stable, secure, and future-proof IT infrastructure, applications, and security. The position also includes planning and executing IT projects, advancing IT architecture, and ensuring compliance with data protection and security requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, significant professional experience with personnel responsibility in IT structures, and strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, application landscapes, and IT security. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. Fluency in English, including technical terminology, and excellent German language skills (C1 level) are required.

Master's degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, ideally with a focus on administrative digitalization/informatics and IT management, or a comparable qualification relevant to the field of responsibility.
