Job Summary
Join Fraport AG, a leading airport business company, as a Senior Data Engineer / Report Creator. You will be instrumental in transforming the airport into an 'AI Driven Airport' by enhancing the central data and analytics platform. Your day-to-day will involve developing and operating end-to-end data pipelines, integrating airport data, preparing data, and orchestrating data processing jobs, laying the technical foundation for AI solutions. You'll also act as a Platform Engineer for Databricks, focusing on standardization, automation, and platform evolution. This role offers the chance to contribute to data and platform architecture, develop reusable data and reporting components, and build reports and dashboards. The position is attractive due to its central role in innovative AI initiatives and the opportunity to grow into a Platform Architect. Key requirements include a relevant degree, several years of experience in data engineering/analytics, strong SQL and Python skills, and experience with BI tools and analytics platforms like Databricks.

Education
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, or a comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Reporting
- Strong practical experience in connecting, processing, and modeling diverse data sources and formats (e.g., Kafka, image data, video streams, Delta Tables)
- Proficient experience in building and operating data pipelines and their orchestration
- Experience with BI and reporting tools
- Experience with automation, CI/CD, and Platform Engineering approaches
- Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, SAS, Microsoft Fabric)
- Experience with distributed data processing approaches (e.g., Apache Spark)
