Job Summary
The Stiftung Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen is seeking a Head of Technical Department to lead their technical operations across two prominent Düsseldorf locations. This role involves the content and personnel management of the Technical Department, encompassing climate, media, and security technology. You will be responsible for organizing and strategically developing technical and security management, overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of building technical equipment, and serving as the responsible electrical engineer for all technical systems. The position requires ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and artworks through optimized technical systems and personnel management, alongside budget planning, cost control, and managing external contractors. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical, systems, or building technology with an electrical focus, several years of experience in building services, and a strong understanding of relevant regulations.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Building Technology with an Electrical Engineering focus, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of experience in building services (TGA)
- Practical experience with electrical systems
- Experience in technical and security management
- Experience in managing teams (over 20 people)
- Experience in budget planning and cost control
- Experience in preparing tenders and grant applications
Languages
Additional
- Responsible Electrical Engineer (VEFK) for all technical systems of the organization. Knowledge of relevant regulations such as DIN VDE standards, occupational safety, and accident prevention.
