Job Summary
TRANSA Spedition GmbH, a subsidiary of DB Cargo specializing in full-load transport across Germany and Europe, is seeking a Data Architect for their Enterprise Business Architecture department at their Offenbach am Main location. This role is crucial for evolving and designing the existing data platform within a well-established BI and data environment. The Data Architect will focus on structuring, standardizing, and scaling the current architecture, ensuring efficient, reliable, and traceable data processing from various sources for analysis and reporting. The position involves both conceptual work and hands-on development of existing solutions, with an initial hybrid role including 40-50% hands-on tasks. The company emphasizes growth, innovative solutions, and building internal data competencies to reduce reliance on external service providers.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
Experience
- Approximately 5-7 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture
- Practical experience in the conception and development of data architectures, ideally in existing or mature system landscapes
- Experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines (ETL/ELT) with a solid understanding of data flows and dependencies
- Experience with modern, modular data platforms (e.g., cloud-based and/or hybrid) and integration of diverse data sources and systems
- Experience in defining and establishing data standards and best practices, and pragmatically anchoring them within the company
