Job Summary
This role involves leading the Department of Construction and Environment, including municipal services, for the City of Linden. You will coordinate the public works department, reintegrate city utilities into the department, and oversee general building administration and legal aspects. Key responsibilities include planning, managing, and monitoring municipal construction projects (buildings, roads, civil engineering), urban development planning, climate and environmental protection measures, budget management, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The position also requires driving the digitalization and optimization of administrative processes. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Architecture/Civil Engineering (TU/TH) or a comparable field, or a qualified technician in civil or structural engineering, or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in municipal administration
- Leadership experience and strong communication and decision-making skills
- Experience in strategic thinking and economic management
- Experience with construction law (BauGB, HBO) and procurement law (VOB, VOL, HOAI, HVTG)
