Job Summary
This role involves leading and overseeing major transportation infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on the planning and reconstruction of a key local road (L3117) and its integration with a new regional light rail system. You will be responsible for coordinating all project stakeholders, managing contractors, monitoring progress against budget and schedule, and reporting to city committees. The position requires a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and experience with public administration processes. This is a fixed-term position, expected to last until approximately 2034, offering a competitive salary up to TVöD-VKA E13 and a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible work arrangements and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Master's, Dipl.-Ing.) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Civil Engineering Business Administration, Construction Project Management, or a related field, preferably with a specialization in transportation planning.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the coordination and project management of transportation infrastructure projects
- Experience with internal administrative processes or professional experience in a municipal administration
- Professional experience in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on transportation planning
