Job Summary
The Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevölkerung (DSW) is seeking a Head of Finance Department to lead financial management and strategy for their international development organization. This pivotal role involves disciplinary and technical leadership of the finance team, coordinating financial processes across European and East African offices, and managing consolidated annual financial statements and liquidity. You will develop, monitor, and revise the organizational budget, oversee financial systems and software, and advise on tax and foundation law aspects. The ideal candidate possesses a university degree in Business Administration with a finance focus, significant leadership experience, strong knowledge of non-profit finance and foundation law, and excellent English and German communication skills. This position offers the chance to make a tangible impact on sexual and reproductive health rights and work within a dynamic, international environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Non-Profit Management, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of leadership experience
- Professional experience in finance within the non-profit sector and foundation law
- Experience with accounting on an international level is desirable
- Experience with relevant booking and office software, particularly MS Excel
