Join Max-Planck-Innovation GmbH, the technology transfer unit of Germany's leading basic research institution, the Max Planck Society. You will work at the intersection of science and business, analyzing, researching, and evaluating technologies stemming from cutting-edge scientific discoveries. Your responsibilities will include advising scientists on patentability and commercialization, developing technology offerings, identifying potential licensees, and negotiating license agreements. You will also collaborate with external patent attorneys. This role requires a proactive individual with broad scientific interests and knowledge, particularly in Life Sciences, and a strong interest in patent law. The position offers the chance to contribute to the societal and economic impact of groundbreaking research.
Required Skills
Education
Doctorate (PhD) in Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry, or comparable qualification in Life Sciences.
Experience
- Professional experience in patent and licensing management or a comparable role in Life Sciences.
- Experience in analyzing, researching, and evaluating technologies.
- Experience in advising scientists on patentability and commercialization.
- Experience in commercialization activities such as creating technology offers and seeking licensees.
