Job Summary

This role involves providing crucial support to the Head of the Auditing Department within the Gifhorn District Administration. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing office organization, monitoring deadlines, preparing presentations and meeting minutes, and maintaining the internal knowledge base for legal regulations. You will also be responsible for the initial review of submitted documents related to tenders, funding usage, and financial statements, ensuring their completeness and plausibility before final expert review. Additionally, you will assist in conducting audits and supporting digital processes and applications within the department. The ideal candidate will have completed vocational training as an administrative specialist or a relevant commercial apprenticeship with experience in public service, strong German language skills, and excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Education

Completed vocational training as an administrative specialist (m/f/d), OR successful completion of the I. Angestelltenlehrgang (First Employee Training Course), OR completed three-year commercial apprenticeship with three years of professional experience in public service or a relevant field.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training as an administrative specialist (m/f/d), OR
  • Successful completion of the I. Angestelltenlehrgang (First Employee Training Course), OR
  • Completed three-year commercial apprenticeship (e.g., Office Management, Industrial Clerk, Legal and Notarial Assistant) with three years of professional experience in public service or a relevant field.
  • Experience and knowledge in legal application.
  • Basic business administration knowledge and knowledge of local government and municipal law are advantageous.
