Job Summary

The Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA) is seeking a Specialist for Climate Balance and Decarbonization to join their Facility Management department in Bonn. In this role, you will coordinate the implementation of measures to improve the organization's carbon footprint and drive decarbonization efforts within the building sector. This involves developing concepts for analyzing and evaluating building and energy data, deriving decarbonization strategies from climate balances, and monitoring progress. You will also act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders, contribute to climate protection reporting, and develop and conduct training programs. The position requires a scientific technical university degree, several years of professional experience in climate protection and decarbonization, and knowledge of relevant regulations and energy industry contexts. The role offers mobile and flexible working arrangements, with occasional travel required.

Completed scientific technical university degree (Master's / University Diploma) in Climate Protection, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energies, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience and comprehensive knowledge in climate protection, climate accounting, energy efficiency, and decarbonization.
  • Experience in presenting work results.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal regulations in the field of work.
  • Knowledge of energy industry contexts.
  • Experience in project management.
