Job Summary

As a Scientific Researcher at the Biologische Station Rieselfelder Münster, you will play a pivotal role in nature conservation efforts. Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting avifaunistic surveys (focusing on breeding and migratory birds), analyzing ecological data, and providing expert advice to authorities and institutions. You will also manage staff, mentor university interns, and lead public relations initiatives, including event coordination, website management, and press work. The role requires a blend of field research, project management, and community engagement. This position is unique as it allows you to contribute to a 50-year-old conservation legacy in a specialized wetland environment. You will work closely with conservation associations and stakeholders, supported by a transition period with the current incumbent. The role is ideal for an experienced biologist or landscape ecologist with a passion for ornithology, public outreach, and biodiversity monitoring, offering a permanent position within a dedicated non-profit organization.
