Job Summary

The Institute for Cell Biology of the Nervous System at the Technical University of Munich is seeking an IT System Administrator to join their team. In this role, you will provide essential daily technical support to colleagues, ensuring the smooth operation of research and administrative IT infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include procuring and configuring hardware and software, managing user onboarding and offboarding, maintaining Windows-based workstations, and providing general IT support. You will also manage central services such as access rights and mailing lists, and oversee media technology for events. Depending on your interests and expertise, there are opportunities to contribute to research-related tasks like web application hosting, scripting for research projects, and research data management. This position is ideal for a pragmatic problem-solver with a service-oriented mindset. Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or equivalent practical experience.
