Job Summary

The Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society is seeking an IT System Administrator to join the Joint Network Center (GNZ) in Berlin-Dahlem. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, administration, and monitoring of virtualization, storage, and backup environments. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in IT or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT system administration, specifically in Linux-based environments
  • Experience in managing virtualization platforms and modern storage architectures
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise backup and restore concepts
  • Experience in network infrastructure design and maintenance
  • Experience with Proxmox VE, VMware, or Veeam is considered an asset
  • Experience in automation, API usage, and scripting
