Job Summary

As a Service Helpdesk Technician at KASTO, you will play a critical role in supporting international clients by diagnosing malfunctions in storage and sawing systems via phone, remote access, and visual assistance. You will guide customer personnel through troubleshooting processes, provide technical support to field service engineers, and prepare service assignments, including the parameterization of replacement equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating cost estimates, managing complaints, and occasionally performing on-site service, retrofit, or commissioning tasks. The role requires a strong customer-service mindset and excellent communication skills. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in mechatronics or electronics who enjoys a mix of remote support and hands-on technical work in a stable, family-oriented international environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician or Mechatronics Technician; further qualification as a Technical Engineer is considered an asset.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning and repair of machine tools
  • Technical background in electronics or mechatronics

Additional

  • Must be available for a two-shift rotation and 24/7 on-call hotline duty. Willingness to perform occasional field service travel is required.
