Job Summary
The Thoraxklinik at Heidelberg University Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Molecular Biologist (Postdoctoral Researcher) to join their Center for Pulmonary Hypertension. This role focuses on cutting-edge research into the genetics of pulmonary hypertension (PAH) and hypoxia-induced lung pressure increases. The successful candidate will lead scientific research projects, supervise doctoral students, and contribute to the search for new genes, the molecular genetic investigation of identified mutations, and genotype-phenotype correlations. A key responsibility includes co-leading the German Center for Pulmonary Hypertension Genetics, involving the analysis and interpretation of Next-Generation Sequencing data. This position offers a unique opportunity for significant scientific contribution, with the potential for Habilitation at Heidelberg University, making it ideal for a dedicated researcher aiming for academic advancement.
