Job Summary
The Max Planck Society is seeking an IT Audit Specialist to join their Internal Audit department in Munich. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the strategic realignment of audit processes, focusing on IT transformation, cyber security, and data-driven auditing methods. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading complex, cross-functional audits, providing expert consultancy on IT security, and driving the implementation of AI-supported analysis and continuous digital process monitoring. You will act as a key liaison between various departments, ensuring strategic coherence in IT and digitalization matters. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Informatics, or a comparable field. Relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or CISA are highly desirable.
Experience
- Approximately 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT auditing, IT interfaces, or IT management roles.
- Proven experience in leading and coordinating complex, cross-functional audits or projects.
- Professional experience in internal audit or comparable control functions is highly desirable.
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and stakeholder management.

- Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally. Position is based in Munich city center. Requires C1 level proficiency in both German and English.
