Job Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer for functional testing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of rail vehicles. Your daily responsibilities include performing rigorous testing based on technical specifications, verifying electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, and conducting complex troubleshooting using circuit diagrams and functional plans. You will be responsible for diagnosing and rectifying faults across hardware and software systems, as well as maintaining detailed documentation and test protocols. This role requires a high degree of technical autonomy and the ability to work in challenging environments, including confined spaces and at heights. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician, ideally supplemented by further qualification as an Electrical Technician or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in testing and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in working with electrically active components and assemblies.
  • Demonstrated capability to interpret complex technical specifications, drawings, and functional diagrams.
  • Proven ability to operate and maintain complex systems independently.

Additional

  • Must be willing to work in confined spaces (e.g., control cabinets) and at heights up to 4 meters using roof work platforms. Strict adherence to safety and EHS regulations is mandatory.
