Job Summary

As a Planning Engineer for Pipe Networks, you will play a pivotal role in the local energy transition within the Kamen, Bönen, and Bergkamen region. Your daily responsibilities include the design, layout, and optimization of heating plants and generation facilities, focusing on sustainable technologies such as hydrogen, renewable energy, and large-scale heat pumps. You will manage projects from conceptualization through to construction supervision, ensuring strict adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Additionally, you will handle technical documentation, manage regulatory approval processes, and contribute to the strategic decarbonization of the local heat infrastructure. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Energy Technology, Process Engineering, Supply Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field. Alternatively, a qualified technician in the aforementioned disciplines with extensive professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the planning, project management, or operation of energy generation plants (Gas, H2, Heat Pumps, Hybrid solutions).
  • Professional experience in construction supervision, project acceptance, commissioning, and quality assurance.
  • Experience in managing technical documentation and regulatory approval processes for infrastructure projects.

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to participate in on-call duty rotations. Must be able to coordinate with external partners, authorities, and municipal bodies.
