Job Summary
The Max Planck Society is seeking an IT Audit Specialist to join their Internal Audit department. In this strategic role, you will lead the digital transformation of audit processes, focusing on IT security, cyber-security, and data-driven audit methodologies. You will act as a central advisor for IT-related audit topics, ensuring strategic coherence across various departments including HR, Finance, and Facility Management. Your day-to-day will involve conducting complex, cross-functional audits based on Global Internal Audit Standards, developing innovative AI-supported analysis tools, and collaborating closely with the Information Security Officer. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in IT security or auditing who is eager to shape the future of audit practices within a world-leading research organization. You will play a key role in protecting the integrity of the organization through proactive risk assessment and digital process monitoring.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed university degree (Master's level) in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Informatics, or a comparable field. Certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or CISA are highly desirable.
Experience
- Approximately 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT auditing, IT management, or related IT interface roles.
- Proven experience in leading and coordinating complex, cross-functional audits or projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary environments.
- Experience in applying Global Internal Audit Standards for risk assessment and reporting.
