Job Summary
The City of Düren is seeking an Electrical and Telecommunications Engineer to join the Facility Management Department. In this role, you will oversee the technical and organizational implementation of building services, with a focus on digital infrastructure, power systems, and telecommunications. Your day-to-day responsibilities include planning and managing construction and maintenance projects across all HOAI phases, coordinating external engineering firms and contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will also prepare technical reports, manage VOB-based inspections, and contribute to long-term modernization programs for over 100 municipal buildings. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diplom FH) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Energy Technology, or Supply Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering or telecommunications
- Experience in the coordination of planning participants and external contractors
- Practical experience in construction project management or maintenance programs
- Knowledge of public sector building regulations and procurement processes
