Job Summary

As a Project Engineer for Environmental and Immission Control at DB InfraGO AG, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that large-scale railway infrastructure projects—such as bridges, tunnels, and stations—are planned and executed in compliance with environmental regulations. You will act as a bridge between technical project teams, planning offices, and regulatory authorities. Your day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating environmental planning and construction monitoring, reviewing technical documentation (such as water framework directives, species protection, and soil protection reports), and managing project timelines, costs, and quality. You will also support the procurement process for environmental services and represent the company in negotiations with municipal and state authorities. This role is ideal for an analytical professional with a background in environmental science or landscape planning who thrives in team-oriented, complex project environments and is committed to sustainable infrastructure development.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Environmental Planning, Landscape Planning, Water/Environmental Science, Landscape Architecture, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in environmental planning, water science, or landscape architecture.
  • Experience in applying for and implementing planning approvals and permits.
  • Experience in the implementation of compensation and replacement measures.
  • Knowledge of HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers) is considered an advantage.
